About Geoff

Have you ever met an accountant who does house calls?
Ever known CPAs who felt accounting was their calling in high school?
Ever heard your accountant say, “Every number has a story”?

geoffrey_w_goudy_2Some might very well call Geoff Goudy the Shakespeare of Spreadsheets.

Very few CPAs have a passion for accounting, a loyalty to clients, and an open ear like Geoff Goudy. He is a valuable gem for businesses in Northern Coloradoa Certified Public Accountant extraordinaire.

Geoff knew he wanted to be a CPA as a teenager! After receiving his degree in Accounting from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, his career as a CPA began in 1990. From the onset of his career, Geoff maintained a particular commitment to entrepreneurs. Willing to work especially hard for those who worked hard for themselves, he slowly became an expert with start-ups and micro businesses. Geoff evolved into a rare kind of accountant, one who was patient enough to listen to the specific, eccentric, and indeed, artistic needs of business owners and then offer his assistance based on those needs.

Through his loyalty to clients and skill at accounting systems and business planning, Geoff has garnered a roster of clients very loyal to him in fact, his client turnover is so low that his business has consistently swelled since he began practicing on his own in Fort Collins, Colorado. Certified Public Accountant extraordinaire, indeed–he has been a fixture of the Fort Collins business community since he began working in the area.

geoff_and_buzzOver the past 18 years, Geoff has worked for small and large accounting firms that have represented a wide variety of clients. Recently, he was an independent Controller-for-Hire for small and medium sized business in technology, health care, and light manufacturing. In 2000, he moved to Fort Collins, Colorado, and began practicing as a Certified Public Accountant independently in 2001, thriving from the very start in Old Town.

Geoff’s experience spans a wide range of traditional accounting (bookkeeping, tax, reporting, budgeting), as well as accounting systems, employee benefits, and business planning. He considers himself a 5-tool CPA due to his expertise with:

  1. Accounting
  2. Income Taxes
  3. Payroll & Benefits
  4. Sales & Property Taxes
  5. Business Consulting

He looks forward to playing a leadership role in the inevitable growth of the Fort Collins business community, and hopes to lead CPAs in contributing reliable, informed advice and impeccable service to present and future Fort Collins area business owners.

Geoff serves all of Northern Colorado including Old Town Fort Collins and the Fort Collins area, Greeley, Loveland, and Wellington.
